From Interstate 10, exit highway 111, left on Vista Chino, right on North Indian Canyon Drive and Left on Altamira. From Palm Desert, head for Palm Springs via Highway 111 and stay on Indian Canyon Drive through downtown, right on Altamira just after N. Indian Canyon Drive becomes a two-way street.
The worlds largest rotating tram cars will whisk you 2.5 miles up Mt. San Jacinto for amazing scenic overlooks, great hiking and more. A few staff members at Los Arboles know the terrain at the top of the tram quite well and will be happy to recommend a trail if you feel like stretching your legs up there at 8500 feet and higher!
