Our boutique hotel property is simply overflowing with classic historic Mexican charm and detail around every corner. This one of a kind extraordinary property which was originally built in 1937 as a winter getaway destination, was lovingly restored from the ground up in a ten year reconstruction that finished with our Grand Opening in 2011. During our design and reconstruction we called upon past generations of the Castaneda family looking for clues to make our dream hotel property as faithful and historically correct as we possibly could.
All of that attention to detail has truly been a labor of love and now Los Arboles Hotel is truly a little slice of Mexico!
Throughout 2025 we have continued to renew and to upgrade the properties interiors, exteriors and services. Look for our individually hand painted tiles imported from Jalisco in every room, quintessential period furnishings that sing the songs of a proud, hard working and dedicated people, hand textured walls that evoke memories of a time long gone by, boldly stained woodwork and exquisitely soft and crisp linens.
The Los Arboles Hotel property is a boutique property hidden in the Movie Colony neighborhood with famous past neighbors that include American idols like Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Bob Hope and Cary Grant, just to name a few. Our grounds feature just 22 truly inspired guest rooms that continue to invoke images of a simpler time in Mexico when 'Bienvenidos, Mucho Gusto' was not just a greeting, but a way of life.
Los Arboles Hotel is also home to the iconic El Mirasol at Los Arboles Restaurant and Bar and our Catering and Events businesses. The Original El Mirasol Cocina Mexicana has been a fixture in South Palm Springs for more than 40 years and continues to draw guests from around the world to experience truly exciting Mexican flavors, textures and sights.
